Qi (pronounced “chee”) can be defined as a combination of life force, energy and consciousness. Gong means practice or cultivation. Qigong is a comprehensive physical and emotional self-cultivation process that has been used to increase wellness for thousands of people all over the world. Through visualization, sound, mental concentration and guided imagery, regeneration of every cell and organ of the body is possible. Zhineng Qigong is suitable for everyone, of all ages. It is practiced either standing or seated, with individual and group healing sessions usually done while lying down.
Among the many methods of qigong, Zhineng Qigong is considered one of the most powerful. It was created by Dr. Pang Ming, an extraordinary qigong Grandmaster. By combining his profound knowledge of Chinese medicine with modern science, he helped revive the ancient Chinese internal cultivation of qigong as a healing art, as well as a modern science of body-mind. He founded the largest medicine-less hospital in China, where Zhineng Qigong was used to study mind-body science and its applications to self-healing. The Zhineng Qigong Center, which closed in 2001 due to political reasons, treated more than 200,000 patients with over 185 diseases with an overall success rate of 95%. Currently over 10 million people practice Zhineng Qigong worldwide. This system of qigong synthesizes 5,000 year-old traditional Chinese healing arts with modern science to create a powerful system for healing on all levels of being.
